Orange Community Chamber of Commerce float titled "Sunbeams of Orange." Six women are seated on the float, which appears to represent a ship. Two men costumed as pages and holding banners stand on either side of the float. The banner on the left bears the message "Orange Community Chamber of Commerce," and the message on other banner reads "Sunbeams Orange." The house visible behind the float indicates that the photograph was taken before the parade had begun and is on Orange Grove, or on a side street near Orange Grove. The "Sunset in Haiti" float features a floral arch representing a sunset over a floral mountain and ocean. Bee Richardson, Alice Wright and Jane Hagenbush were the riders; 2 riders are visible. The float was entered by the Pasadena city schools and is shown at the intersection of Orange Grove Blvd. and Colorado Blvd.
Back of the "Kingdom of Paradise" float with Dorothy Bell Dougan is seated in the middle of radiating prisms of light, with small model buildings of either side. The float was entered by the city of Beverly Hills.
Santa Barbara fashioned a 50-foot replica of the Taj Mahal out of roses, chrysanthemums, and lotus flowers as their parade entry. It took home first prize in the Class A-1 division.
