The theme of the 1935 forty-sixth annual Rose Parade was "Golden Legends."
The Stanford University float has a traditional Stanford Indian rendered in flowers in a floral canoe on a crimson tide, symbolic of Alabama, the rival team in that day's football game. The float is shown passing the Goodhue flagpole at the intersection of Orange Grove Blvd. and Colorado Blvd.
