William Sachtleben was in Turkey in 1895 to investigate the disappearance of cyclist Frank Lenz who had last been seen near Erzurum. Notes accompanying negatives indicate that during this trip, Sachtleben was in Bursa and travelled from Trabzon to Erzurum. Sachtleben's 1891 photographs of his bicycle tour across Asia have a circular format.
Last page of the suicide note left by Leslie Ray Raymond, who killed himself by asphyxiation by inhalation of automobile emission. He had been a radio announcer in Oakland, California, known as "Brother Bob." In his suicide note he confesses having an affair with his niece.

These persons appear in the photograph referenced in the "Relation" note.

This notebook was confiscated after Hickman's capture in Echo, Oregon, and was examined to ascertain whether Hickman had a female accomplice in the kidnapping. Fingerprints appear above the text.
