Description:
A tribute to Will Rogers, following his death the previous year, at the 1936 Tournament of Roses Parade, surrounded by an unknown number of spectators. A tribute by the Union Oil Company, the float depicts a riderless horse in front of a large star to represent Rogers's career. The float won the grand prize award for the parade.

Description:
Float created as a tribute to Will Rogers shows a white horse, probably Soapsuds, with a lowered head and empty saddle, its reins trailing on the ground, on a raised platform. A radiant star is behind Soapsuds and a U. S. flag is draped on the platform in front of him. The float was entered by the Union Oil Company.
