"Bohème" production, Act 1, Barnum Hall, Santa Monica, 1955
- Description:
- Two singers performing in a production of Giacomo Puccini’s opera, La Bohème. The singers, in period costume, portray Rodolfo and Mimi. The painted backdrop and set props recreate an attic apartment in Paris, while windows painted with snow-covered panes suggest the winter season outdoors. Props include a table set with bottles, glasses, a quill pen and ink. Chairs, a market basket, wall painting and easel complete the set. Microphones and an amplifier can be viewed at the stage’s edge, while a piano player and violinists are visible in the orchestra pit at foreground. Performed at Barnum Hall, Santa Monica.
