- Opera singers performing in “L’Elisir d’amore.” Roger Hansen Dr. Dulcamara stands at center wearing a top hat with peacock feather, cape and coat, waist coat (vest), striped cravat and sash, trousers and boots. He also holds a walking stick. He is surrounded by a crowd of soldiers and villagers, including Adina, portrayed by June Moss singing at right (in front of a group of women). The setting is a village square in Basque country, late 18th century. Scenery includes a painted backdrop with rolling hills and trees, and set pieces painted to look like stone structures. Opera performed at John Adams Auditorium.
