Description:
Letter was written to Larceny Bill. Marty Rosen appeared to be involved in some nefarious people and dealings. He discussed his plans to possibly come back to Brooklyn. In the letter he stated: "Did you find out of he went to his brother? If he did, then fuck him anyway with his brother, because if I am back in ... in another week or so, I'll just have to walk up to his brother's office with my rat-a-tat-tat and mow them all down, you know me bill Im built that way ---- on pencial & paper only-ha !ha!"

Text reads: Acid is a horrible thing to throw in one's face so beau tiful in the height s of her career you can lose a $1000 or a 1,000,000 we are determind to get it. We want that money no later than nine oclock Monday nite at the other end of Warner Bros Studio in the last tree palm tree if the extortion squad is there we will by our oth get you and spoil your face for all time you know where the last tree is by the gate on the corner stick it in the tree by the palns and dont try to stop who gets it tie a handkerchief on the wall there opposite the tree if you fail to meet our demands. We will shoot a air gun at you within ten da's and we are good shots OVER

Description:
For nearly 40 years Ray Pinker worked for the Los Angeles Police Scientific Investigation Division, the first police forensic lab in the country. The Dragnet character "Raymond Pinker" was named after him. He worked on numerous famous cases, including the Black Dahlia case. Robert Seares would later become Pasadena's chief of police.

First few lines: "business again, I have a man with plenty of money and I think he's interested in putting me into business again with plenty of financial-backing, it may take a little time, but if I don't prosper shortly, you can expect me back in the city in the very near future..."

Donna Emptage, who unwittingly rented the hideout of Leroy Anderson (alias Jack Williams), attempted kidnapper of millionaire San Marino banker Herbert D. Ivey. Emptage stands in a room with an iron-frame bed and other furnishings. This room was located in the rear of the storefront building previously rented by kidnapper Anderson.
