Opera singer Enrico Porta, in the role of Rigoletto, sings while a crowd of nobles and courtiers look on. The singers wear costumes evoking 16th century attire - the female singers wear long gowns with full skirts and puffed sleeves. The men wear stockings, doublet-inspired tunics, ruff collars, and baldrics (for holding a sword) around the waist. Rigoletto wears an embroidered cape and braided belt with tassels. The stage set represents a room in the Duke’s palace complete with a throne (an ornate wooden chair covered with a canopy, placed on an elevated platform). The walls are built with faux columns and crests mounted on them. Musicians can be seen from the orchestra pit at foreground. Additionally, Natalie Garrotto (second from left) performs as a noblewoman and Jean Kortlander is visible as well (3rd from R).

Not far from him stands Enrico, laird of Lammermoor (Enrico Porta), who wears a satin doublet with lace-trimmed collar, breeches and stockings. Additionally, cast members in the role of nobles and courtiers watch as events transpire. June Moss (second from left) performs as one of these nobles. Scene in a Santa Monica Civic Opera production of "Rigoletto." Rigoletto at center stage (Enrico Porta) kneels with hands on head as Count Monterone (R, Laurin Malcom) and the Duke of Mantua (L, Raymond Gagan) sing and a crowd of nobles and courtiers watch the events transpire, including Natalie Garrotto (2nd from left) and Jean Kortlander (3rd from R). The singers wear costumes evoking 16th century attire. The female singers wear long gowns with full skirts and long, full sleeves. The men wear stockings, doublet-inspired tunics, ruff collars, and baldrics (for holding a sword) around the waist. The stage set represents a room in the Duke’s palace complete with a throne (an ornate wooden chair covered with a canopy, placed on an elevated platform). Musicians are in the orchestra pit in the foreground.

Production of “Cavalleria Rusticana,” performed by the Los Angeles Civic Grand Opera. Cast members wearing Italian peasant costumes are gathered center stage near a church while Alfio (portrayed by Enrico Porta) stands to the fore of the group, holding a whip. Seated at the table are Mamma Lucia (portrayed by Ruth Ralston) and Santuzza (Florence Korsak). The setting is a 19th century Sicilian village. Painted backdrops and sets depict stone and brick architecture surrounding a village square. Beyond the stage, a musician is viewed in the orchestra pit. Opera performed at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre, Los Angeles.

Enrico Porta played Rigoletto for all four shows.
