The Santa Monica Civic Opera performed “Rigoletto” at the John Adams Auditorium November 26-27, and December 3-4. This is either the November 26th or December 4th performance, with Natalie Garrotto in the role of Gilda. The role alternated between Natalie Garrotto, Kay Marshall and Diana Guadagno.
Opera singers (L to R) Ray Gagan, Enrico Porta, and Natalie Garrotto on stage at curtain call after a Santa Monica Civic Opera performance of “Rigoletto.” Garrotto, as Gilda, wears a long, off-the-shoulder gown with a satin trimmed neckline and puff sleeves. Porta, as Rigoletto, wears a doublet-inspired stripped tunic, a small ruff collar, full, short breeches (called slops), stockings and a cape; Gagan wears an embellished satin tunic. Musicians can be seen from the orchestra pit at foreground.
