Description:
Photograph of Mertie West, taken as she exits the women's restroom at Lake Mead. Mertie is at center and adjusts her eyeglasses as she steps down to exit the restroom. The restroom extends to her right and is supported atop railway ties. It is made of wood and has a low-pitched roof, with 3 sets of double support beams, extends around the building. On the underside of the roof at right, wiring runs along the side of the structure. Multiple cars are parked in the near distance at left and a desert landscape with mountains occupy the background.

Description:
An askew photograph of Mertie West and H. H. West standing next to the tablet at the base of a flagpole on the Nevada side of the Boulder (now Hoover) Dam. The tablet stands slightly off-center towards the right. Mertie West stands to the left of the inscription with one hand behind her back. H. H. West stands to the right of the inscription with one hand in his pocket and the other holding a coat. The inscription reads, "It is fitting that the flag of our country should fly here in honor of those men who, inspired by a vision of lonely lands made fruitful, conceived this great work and of those others whose genius and labor made that vision a reality."

Description:
An out-of-focus photograph of Mertie West standing behind a tall box that H. H. West fixed up for Wes Witherby to put on Will Shaw's Christmas tree. A tall box decorated for Christmas stands in the center of the image on a walkway leading to a house. The bottom third of the box is decorated with a brick print. Above the brick print and on the left side of the box it reads, "Christmas time." Mertie West's head and shoulders peek above the top of the box. She appears to stand behind the box and looks to camera. The front porch of a house stands behind her at left. Steps line the left edge of the image and the porch extends back and to the right. A neighboring house stands in the distance at right.
