- Photograph of Mertie West, taken as she exits the women's restroom at Lake Mead. Mertie is at center and adjusts her eyeglasses as she steps down to exit the restroom. The restroom extends to her right and is supported atop railway ties. It is made of wood and has a low-pitched roof, with 3 sets of double support beams, extends around the building. On the underside of the roof at right, wiring runs along the side of the structure. Multiple cars are parked in the near distance at left and a desert landscape with mountains occupy the background.
