Description:
Procession of 13 two-wheeled carts ridden by women and girls and one man dressed as a native American in a war bonnet, in the Desert Circus Parade on Palm Drive just past the Lykken general store (180 N. Palm Dr.). Each cart has a pennant-type flag advertising a business, including "Gordons" and "Stevens Jewelers." Spectators watch from the sidewalk. The parade took place on Saturday April 6.

Description:
A succession of Ladies' Auxiliary groups photographed marching in the seventh annual California State convention of the Canadian Legion, British Empire Service League. Their banner includes a Union Jack and reads: "Hollywood Post 28 Ladies' Auxiliary." A second group follows with a banner reading: "Canadian Legion Auxiliary B.E.S.L. Post 38, Culver City, Calif." They are followed by a third Auxiliary group whose post is intelligible in this image. The procession follows street car tracks along Santa Monica Boulevard past Fourth Street, with a mission-style building seen at right. An S.H. Kress 5-10-25 Cent Store and other businesses are viewed in the background. The Guaranty Trust Bank Building (221-225 Santa Monica Blvd.) can be seen farther down the street.

Marshall Stone mansion, "The Magnolias," Valle Vista, Hemet

Description:
The home was owned by Marshall G. Stone, a Valle Vista pioneer considered to be the "Father of Valle Vista," having been superintendent over the development of 3,000 acres of a San Jacinto land grant. Stone was also one of the organizers of the Fairview Land & Water Company. The house was first a hotel, and was later occupied by Stone.
