- Two pen and ink illustrations photographed side-by-side. Drawing on the left features a Native American seated cross-legged. He eats the contents of a bowl held in his lap. At right sits a second bowl with Southwestern designs, and pipe. A mesa stands in the background. The illustration at right features a man seated on a rock, smoking a pipe, chin resting on a clenched fist. He sits across from a squirrel. Text in speech bubble above him reads: "a nut to crack... Yes - that's the problem." Beyond the scene, a path leads toward a dwelling with smoke escaping from its chimney while the sun sets in the distance.
