Saavedra Muñoz, Constantino

Description:
On October 1, 1990, Constantino Saavedra Muñoz, along with Gilberto Aparicio and Placido Juscamayta, was arrested near the Ayacucho airport by Army personnel and taken to Los Cabitos General Headquarters. These last two people were released, while Constantino Saavedra Muñoz continues to be detained and disappeared. The file contains: letters from Aprodeh to the Prosecutor's Office, MP, Investigating Judge and Political-Military Chief of Ayacucho requesting information, complaint from Constantino Saavedra's wife to the MP, statement by Gilberto Aparicio Nivin before the MP, memorandum from deputy Ricardo Letts Colmenares to Minister of Defense, letter from Javier Diez Canseco to the Attorney General, and other documents documents such as newspaper clippings. The folder has 33 sheets

Testimonio confidencial fotocopia mecanografiado escrito en inglés en el que se relata la persecución política a los estudiantes de la Universidad Técnica del Estado, en particular de tres estudiantes norteamericanos, quienes fueron arrestados y torturados en distintos recintos en los que se produjeron las más crueles vejaciones, violaciones y amenazas. Encontrando refugio en la Iglesia Católica, en la Embajada de las Naciones Unidas y asilo político en el exterior.

Description:
Official document appendix number I to the American Declaration of the Rights and Duties of Man, created after World War II, to guarantee human integrity and dignity universally through 38 Rights. This declaration was the first international declaration of human rights in the world, and although it is not a legal contract, it assumes the responsibility and obligatory nature of its protection and compliance by the States that subscribe to the pact.

Correspondence written by Jim Pflaum to Patricia Verdugo, giving background on his brother-in-law Gerardo Huber, who was assassinated in February 1992, just one month after George Bush made his 1992 re-election campaign official. The close timing of Huber's death and Bush's re-election is not a coincidence, since Gerardo was assassinated a few days before giving his statement to the justice system about the relationship between Bush and Pinochet in the illegal arms deal.

El 11 de febrero de 1992 fueron detenidos y desparecidos 5 ronderos del pueblo Chinchimabara de la provincia de Otuzco por agentes de la policía. La documentación refiere cartas de los organismos de derechos humanos a las instituciones del Estado solicitando explicación, investigación y paradero de los desaparecidos. Asimismo, piden intervención del Ministerio Público y la Cruz Roja. La documentación es de marzo de 1992 pero llega a Perú en junio. La carpeta tiene 37 folios
