About this Collection

The Museum of Memory and Human Rights and its Documentation Center (CEDOC) work to preserve the memory of the human rights violations that occurred in Chile between 1973 and 1990 and to promote access and dissemination of archives that account for human rights violations, as well as the denunciation, protection, and promotion of the rights of individuals. The collections held by the museum provide the community with knowledge about the people who suffered human rights violations, affected groups, survival strategies, defense and protection organizations, through documents, files and archives that account for this period.
