SWAHILI: Ustadh Mau was invited to take part to a farewell celebration for Athras Mohammad Ali aliyekuwa mkurugenzi wa elimu Lamu island. Mzee aliyekaa upande wa kulia nyuma ya Ustadh Mau ni Abdalla Iskandar aliyekuwa ami yake Athrash na seremala maarufu sana Lamu island. Sherehe ya kumwaga Athras Mohammad Ali ilifanyiwa Lamu Fort Museum.<br>ENGLISH: Ustadh Mau alikuwa amealikwa kwa sherehe ya kumwaga Athrash Mohammad Ali who was education officer of Lamu island. The elderly man on the right-hand side behinf Ustadh Mau is Abdalla Iskandar the uncle of Atrash and a reknown wood carpenter in Lamu island. The farewell celebration took place at Lamu island Fort Museum.

As he puts it, "they are Muslims but they do not know enough about Islam" . Ustadh Mau went to visit them at their madrasa. The picture shows him bringing to them books, pens and candies. Back then the Boni group counted 3000 people. Boni people live in five villages: Bargoni, Mangai, Dede wa rede, Mlimani, Basuba (between Mokowe and Kiunga, Lamu island West). Currently an operation called Operation Boni Forest against al-Shabab is on.
