Description:
In 1926 evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson disappeared from Venice Beach in California for 5 weeks. She emerged in Mexico, claiming to have been kidnapped. A grand jury investigation indicated that she had actually been staying with a former employee, Kenneth Ormiston. The case against McPherson was finally dismissed.

Letter to Marty's sister. Marty Rosen was a shooting victim supposedly shot by a gangster. First few lines: "business again, I have a man with plenty of money and I think he's interested in putting me into business again with plenty of financial-backing, it may take a little time, but if I don't prosper shortly, you can expect me back in the city in the very near future..."

Description:
Letter addressed "Dear Friend," requesting payment for "certificates" from the Democratic National Committee, sent by the treasurer, William C. Silliman. The letterhead reads: Roosevelt Nominators/Under auspices of/Democratic National Committee/1009 Transamerica Building/Los Angeles, California/Telephone TRinity 1681. Also printed on the stationary: James A Farley/Chairman, W. Forbes Morgan/Secretary, and Los Angeles Headquarters/Clayton S. Adams/Manager.

Description:
Letter from Koshi Ando to Alfred Quinn dated Wednesday 6 May. Page 1. The letter describes the location of Manzanar near Lone Pine and its layout of barracks and rooms. Ando names several friends: George Izumi, George Hattori, Henry Tanak and Tom Ichien and their activities. Page 2. Ando continues to describe Manzanar including dust storms, lack of privacy, armed guards on duty and the potential for making Manzanar seem more homelike. Envelope addressed to Mr. Al Quinn in Santa Monica, California from Koshi Ando in Manzanar, California. Block 18 Building 1 Apartment 4.

Description:
Letter was written to Larceny Bill. Marty Rosen appeared to be involved in some nefarious people and dealings. He discussed his plans to possibly come back to Brooklyn. In the letter he stated: "Did you find out of he went to his brother? If he did, then fuck him anyway with his brother, because if I am back in ... in another week or so, I'll just have to walk up to his brother's office with my rat-a-tat-tat and mow them all down, you know me bill Im built that way ---- on pencial & paper only-ha !ha!"
