The group stands in a row and all look to the camera, except for Josie Shaw; she gazes off towards the right. Tahquitz Lodge extends from left to right, at an angle, behind them. The porch and a door to the lodge are visible behind Forrest Whitaker at left. Trees seem to grow through the roof of the building behind Mertie West. A narrow, curved walkway stretches behind the group and in front of the lodge. It starts at left and curves up towards the right, parallel with the lodge. A cabin is visible in the background at right next to the lodge. A sign hanging off of the eave of the building behind the group reads, "[...]ITZ L[...]."

Photograph of Forrest Whitaker posing beside his new Ford that is parked along San Jose Avenue in front of the McDonald residence in Burbank. San Jose Avenue enters frame from the lower right edge and stretches across the image on an upward angle to the left. San Jose Avenue's near parkway and sidewalk parallel the street and enter frame from the bottom edge. In the near distance at center, Forrest Whitaker stands on the street curb and beneath a tree lining the parkway. He looks to camera as he poses beside his new car. The Ford is parked curbside, to the right of Forrest. It is viewed at an angle from the front and passenger side, facing slightly right. Its license plate reads, "19 CALIFORNIA 47 B3W764." Houses line the far side of San Jose Avenue and in the far distance, mountains rise across the background. Opaque, white streaks occupy the lower left and right corners, dissipating as they extend upwards along their respective edges.
