Josie sits to the left of Mertie and faces towards the right. Forrest Whitaker sits furthest from camera and faces towards Mertie. They sit beneath a large canopy that stands right-of-center. Pots, pans and other dining utensils sit upon crates and tables that line the perimeter of the canopy along its left side. Behind the canopy, at right, a pipe cuts through the foliage.
