En los Yungas es conocida como jayna. Ellos practican el trabajo comunitario (mink’a), la reciprocidad (ayni) y el comercio sin dinero (qullqi). El Espíritu del Estado (wira mayku) es el hijo primogénito del Inca. Fue quien hizo aparecer la música y canto alegre (wayñu). Cuenta que, al morir una persona, cae una estrella, y el espíritu entra (jalanti) igual que una semilla y nace otra estrella llamada "hermana de tres puntas" (kimsa punta kullaka). 2. La menstruación (wila uñtasiña) y los cuidados. Cuando termina el ciclo se lava con sal (jayumpi taxsaña). Les encargan a las mujeres jóvenes para no embarazarse (wawachasiña). También les dan a beber qinturaya, fibra roja (panti t’arwa) de llama y mulasillu para no tener hijos (wawa). Las marchas que se hacen para cambiar debe ser un proceso lento (k’achat k’achat). Nosotros sabemos salir desde Nor Yungas y Sud Yungas e Inquisivi con nuestras banderas (wiphala), hasta llegar a la Iglesia de San Francisco de la ciudad de La Paz. 2. Las mujeres y su rol de autoridades antiguamente (layra layra) y en la actualidad. 2. De las regiones de cabeza de valle, puna y valle. En el altiplano (suni) le decía qatachu por ser una región donde no se produce seguido. Por eso entre qatachu y valle saben hacer libaciones (ch’alla) en la época de siembra (simillt’aña), lo mismo en los valles donde había leche (awila) y en la cabeza de valle que es la región donde produce de todo (achu). 3. Las mujeres siendo autoridad son muy buenas, porque tienen buena cabeza (suma p’iqi). Ellas son buenas tejiendo una variedad (kasta) de textiles, y elaborando (luraña) diferentes platos de comida (manq’a), mientras que los hombres trabajan en la tierra con sacos grandes (jatiyu o quyunta). Las hermanitas (kullakita) cantan (aymart’asiña) la canción del Padre con zapatos de oro y sombrero de plata (Quri sapatuni, qullqi sumwiritu, tatala). Las mujeres encargan (iwxan) una pareja con el camino que deben seguir (sarantaña) y cómo deben hacer en su vida de pareja. Las autoridades en el Tiempo de los Incas fueron Mamani el cobrador, Águila, Allqamari y Llama (Tilantiru o qarwa). Los líderes principales (mallku) elegían las autoridades. Actualmente las mujeres cantan (aymart’i) en cada elección de autoridad y para ser elegido debe tener suerte: a) Mallku samay, y b) Kurwa turu ajinti. Los insectos también tienen su autoridad, por ejemplo, el escarabajo (pankatiya) que es el líder (jilanqu). Las autoridades participan de la fiesta de Espíritu y San José, no deben faltar sino serán mal vistos. En el cabildo, que es la fiesta de la Pachamama, se elige las autoridades donde se reúne, también, dinero con el cobro de impuesto (tasa) que antiguamente se entregaba en la ciudad. Actualmente el dinero recaudado se queda en la comunidad para ayudar en la escuela, a los niños huérfanos (wajcha) para que estudien y otras actividades que necesite la comunidad. Esto hacían en el Tiempo de los Incas. Los Alcaldes y Pachaka son los que controlan a la autoridad principal (Mallku). Las autoridades elegidas son: Mallku, Kuraka, Jilaqata, Pachaka y Comisario. Don Domingo considera que de a poco los sindicatos se perderán y que prevalecerá el cabildo con su líder el mallku como autoridad principal, así como Felipe Quispe. Las autoridades van por el camino grande. Deben ser siempre elocuentes (suma parlaña), igual que el Inca. En la ciudad no crían rebaños, no son ricos, pero deben hacer libaciones para pedir dinero y ser ricos (qamiri). ENGLISH: Domingo Jiménez Aruquipa is interviewed by Denise Y. En el fondo (manqha) del cielo, donde están las estrellas, no serán perpetuas (wiñay). Las estrellas de la tarde (jayp’u) se terminarán y las estrellas que inician (qallti) son las que aguantarán. 2. Durante las fiestas el yerno más cercano de la familia debe bailar la danza del cóndor (kuntur thuqu) que trae mucha suerte. La papa (ch’uqi) es considerada la madre (tayka) y existen diferentes clases (kasta): papa person (jaqi ch’uqi) que es varón, papa niña (imilla ch’uqi), papa gris (uqi jaqi ch’uqi), papa negra (chiyar jaqi ch’uqi) y otros. En relación con el maíz (paq’ula), el grano es el espíritu (ajayu) y el corazón o centro (thuru) es el janayu. Hay diferentes clases: El maíz amarillo (q’illu chacha) y el maíz blanco (janq'u warmi). La casa (utachasa) y hacer las libaciones o ch’alla en que deben participar todos los familiares. Los recién casados deben vivir por tres años en la casa de los padres. Luego con la formación de un nuevo hogar (mä utata aysuta) que reúne a las familias de la mujer y el hombre (warmi kasta, chacha kasta) se realizan libaciones para que no exista peleas (ch’axwaku o nuwasiña) en su hogar. Algunas familias llegan a tener doce hijos (tunkapän wawa) que, al crecer, se van para casarse, por eso hacen libaciones para el jefe de familia (p’iqin uta), para la madre de la casa (mama uta) y para el espíritu de la casa (Kuntur Mamani). El apellido es considerado una solo rama familiar que cuenta con acceso a las parcelas en común (ayanuqa o aynuqa). 2. Habla sobre el embarazo y que somos la sangre de la madre (tayka wilapati). La sangre recibe la semilla (wila katuki) para procrear. Los niños que nacen de pie son personas que lo que dicen se cumple, incluyendo la maldición. En estas ocasiones ellos llaman al maíz la Señora Pelirroja (Paqu Mamala o Paqu Siñura), al trigo Tuña Tirisa, y todas sus libaciones lo realizan con k’usa (cerveza local) y hojas de coca, recordando siempre a los incas. 3. Las libaciones para la construcción de la casa: para el techo (turu wirakucha), el barro (warutaki ñiqitaki), la paja (wichi) y las piedras (qala). Hacen el sacrificio de una oveja y derraman su sangre en las cuatro esquinas de la casa. 4. La costumbre de armar arcos para las fiestas. Allí ataban tejidos o mantas de mujer (awayu) y, sobre estos tejidos colocaban dinero y objetos de plata. Estos arcos se preparaban en Navidad y en la fiesta de Santa Vera Cruz. En Navidad los arcos se instalaban alrededor de la iglesia, sacaban a sus santos incluyendo al Tata Quri y realizaban libaciones a la Tierra Virgen. En la fiesta de la Cruz, los arcos se armaban junto a la casa del pasante encargado de celebrar la fiesta, en que participaban todos sus familiares (kasta). Tenía la costumbre de prestarse doce mantas de mujer (awayu) de otras personas, de color café oscuro (ch’umphi) y el rojo (wila), y que eran devueltos al siguiente año. 5. Finalmente, describe los derechos del yerno (tullqa) sobre la aynuqa, un terreno colectivo donde se cultiva entre todos los miembros del lugar. At the feast of the Holy Cruz, the arches were set up next to the house of the feast sponsor, and all his relations (kasta) participated. He had the custom of borrowing twelve women's mantles (awayu) from other people, in dark brown (ch'umphi) and red (wila), and they were returned the following year. 5. Arnold, primero sobre la importancia de la comercialización de sus productos agrícolas, al llevarlos a la feria regional (qhatu) de Challapata. Ellos llevan allí papa (ch’uqi), chuño (ch’uñu), carne (aycha) y oca (apilla) para conservar su economía autosuficiente. Para lograr una buena producción en el año ellos hacen libaciones (ch’allan) a la Madre de Comidas (Chayi Mamala).
