SPANISH: Domingo Jiménez Aruquipa habla con Juan de Dios Yapita y Denise Y. Arnold de los siguientes temas: 1. Las haciendas y sus trabajadores. Las mujeres eran denominadas pongo y los hombres mit'ani. Las pongo realizaban las siguientes funciones: traer agua (uma wayuña), cocinar (phayaña), tejer textiles a mano (sawuña). Los hombres se dedicaban a los cultivos (yapuña) y a las minas. 2. El pago de la tasa (kuyakachi) en los ayllus del Norte de Potosí. 3. Que los hacendados de esta región fueron Emilio Tapia, hacendado de Sakana, Zacarías Intija, Félix Fernández, hacendado de Churitaka, Enrique Masica, hacendado de Tambo K’asa y Luciano Urista, y estos hacendados maltrataban a los pongos y mit'anis. En la Revolución Boliviana, los trabajadores de la hacienda se enfrentaron con los hacendados quitándoles fusiles. 4. Los ayllus libres de hacendados solo debían dar cuenta a los corregidores a quienes les brindaban rebaños, y apoyaban con arreglos de los edificios públicos. 5. Las autoridades que se designa por turno, por ejemplo, el líder del ayllu (jilanqu), el alcalde, el segundo mayor y el kuraka. 6. ENGLISH: Domingo Jiménez Aruquipa talks to Juan de Dios Yapita and Denise Y. Arnold about the following topics: 1. The haciendas and its workers. The women were called pongo and the men mit'ani. The men dedicated themselves to the crops (yapuña) and the mines. 2. The payment of tax (kuyakachi) in the ayllus of Northern Potosí. 3.
