Sarah Griffin was the wife of dentist Tom Griffin.
Dorothy Vena Johnson was a poet and educator. With Juanita Miller, a social worker and wife of civil rights attorney Loren Miller, she founded the League of Allied Arts in 1939.
Loren Miller was an attorney. He later became a California Superior Court Justice in Los Angeles County. Miller was known for his work fighting for equal access to housing and education. He was also the editor of the California Eagle after Charlotta Bass.
Dorothy Vena Johnson was a poet and educator.
Ursula P. Murrell was a pharmacist for 14 years. She then received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree at the University of Southern California. She also did post-graduate work at U.C. Berkeley and UCLA. She was a special music teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District for 30 years. She was awarded the Honorary PTA Life Membership, the Life Membership in the Los Angeles City Elementary School Music Association 24th Street Elementary School Award, and the Golden Apple at the 1971 Teacher Remembrance Day Award as Outstanding Teacher. She was also very active in civic organizations. - Description

Helen (Duncan) Garrott is fourth from the right, in a group of women closer to the photograph. Ursula (Pruitt) Murrell is at the far right of the photograph. The others in the photograph are unidentified.
