Photograph of oaks covered in Spanish moss standing in a park in New Orleans. A large, flat grass lawn extends across the foreground and into the distance. Several oak trees stand in a line along its back boundary in the distance at left. Tendrils of Spanish moss hang down from the tall trees. Hedges, pathways and other park trees stand in the distance at right. Large, streaks of white flank the image along the lower left and lower right edges.

Eastern Trip October 1947 New Orleans. 1 Our City sight seeing bus 2 Oaks in park with moss hanging 3 Mertie West 4th from left in one of the cemeteries - St Louis 4 Praline vendor at the Cabildo 5 Remains brick house near Chalmette where General Parkham [sic] (British) died 6 Open canal in the city. Not many any more. 7 Horse drawn buggy near Cabaldo [sic] 8 Statue of Jackson in Jackson Park 9 Idle vessels at anchor in river above town
