Description:
An out-of-focus photograph of Mertie West and others walking between the elevated vaults in one of the St. Louis Cemeteries in New Orleans. A well-trodden grass pathway spans the width of the bottom edge and extends back towards the right. In the foreground at left, a uniformed man leads a group of sightseeing women through the grounds as he approaches the left frame. One woman stands directly behind and to the right of him. Several other women follow behind in a group, off-center to the right. Mertie West stands towards the back of this group at center. She faces camera and is fourth from the left. To the left of the group, 2 large vaults stand side-by-side behind a wrought-iron fence. Vaults are barely visible lining the right side of the pathway as it stretches into the distance. A large, opaque patch of white occupies the lower right corner.

Photograph of the West's sightseeing bus parked in a parking lot in New Orleans. Grasses grow along and line the near side of the parking lot. They stretch through the foreground on an upward angle from right to left. A curb or barrier extends through the middle of the grassy landscaping. Beyond it sits the parking lot. The bus is parked in the near distance at center. It is viewed at an angle from the driver's side and rear, facing left. Along the side of the bus, it reads, "109 SEEIN[G] NEW ORLEANS." Beyond the bus, angled parking spaces and a vehicle are visible along the far edge of the lot at left. Trees line the lot's edge across the background. An opaque, white patch occupies the lower left corner.

Description:
An out-of-focus photograph of the Pullman car, Clover Haven, sitting on the tracks of a train station in New Orleans. The photograph appears to tilt downward to the right slightly. A few sets of train tracks enter frame from the bottom edge and stretch back on an upward angle from right to left. In the near distance, the back end of a railroad car juts into frame from the left edge. Five men mill about the empty tracks at center. In the distance, the Pullman Clover Haven car sits on the farthest set of tracks. The rightmost 2 men work near the the side of the train car. The long car extends beyond the frame at right. Above its windows, it reads, "PULLMAN," and below the row of windows, it reads, "CLOVER HAVEN." Four punched holes line the bottom edge at right.

Photograph of Mertie West standing between the streetcar tracks that stretch along Canal Street's median in New Orleans. The streetcar tracks pass across the foreground and along the bottom edge. In the near distance at center, Mertie West stands between the tracks. She faces slightly right and looks to the camera. Behind her, Canal Street extends across the image. On the far side of Canal Street, a large Walgreen's drugstore stands at a street corner, off-center to the right. A tall, cylindrical tower rises from the left corner of the building. A rounded marquee extends outward from the tower and hovers over the sidewalk. Neon signage on the tower reads, "[W]ALGREEN DRUGS [C]IGARS COSMETICS [F]OUNTAIN LUNCH," and on the marquee it reads, "Walgreen DRUGS." "Walgreens," and "Walgreen DRUGS," signs are affixed to the Canal Street side of the building at right. At left, Baronne Street intersects Canal Street along the lower left edge and extends back, slightly towards center. The facade of Immaculate Conception Church stands down Baronne Street, along the left edge. The facade is viewed at an angle. Two Moorish towers rise from the top of the facade. The Roosevelt Hotel stands in the background at right, extending beyond the right and top frames. Long, opaque white streaks flank the image along the lower left and lower right edges.
