- Two views of a coast horned lizard, a species of phrynosomatid lizard that are found from Baja California to Sacramento Valley. The lizard shoots high pressure streams of blood out of its eyes in defense. The lizard was photographed at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, a coastal state park in San Diego, California.
