- Summary
- Spencer James Browne was born and raised in 1904 in Texas, and later attended Howard University. He was a successful barber, opening his first shop on Central Avenue in 1932, and his second shop on Western in the late 1950s. He also opened a restaurant in Santa Ana in 1943. He married Bettye Maria Horace in 1954.
