SWAHILI: Ustadh Mau anasimama pamoja na mwanfunzi anayeitwa Jennifer Karstelt aliyesafiri Lamu island pamoja na Profesa Richard Peck. Mtoto kwenye picha ni mtoto wake Ustadh Mau, Fatih. Muda ulikuwa wakati wa sherehe ya Maulidi ambapo watu wanafuatana kwa matari . Kwenye picha wako karibu na makaburi ya Langoni. Bendera nyekundu nyuma inaandikwa kwa kiarabu kwa rangi nyeupe Ya 'Ali al-Habsh , hili ni jina la mtungaji kutoka Yemen wa kitabu Samtu al-Ddurar ("Kutunga kwa lulu"). Kitabu hiki (uk. 400) kinasomwa sana wakati wa mfungo sita. Kitabu cha Maulidi Barazanji kimefika mapema.
ENGLISH: Ustadh Maui is standing together with one of his pupil who is called Jennifer Karstelt who travelled to Lamu together with Prof. Richard Peck. The boy in the picture is his son Fatih. The photo was taken during the Maulidi celebration that people follow with great devotion. In the picture they are close to the cemetery in Langoni. On the red flag behind them it is written in Arabic in white Ya 'Ali al-Habsh, that is the name of a Yemeni author who composed Samtu al-Ddurar ("To compose by means of pearls"). This book count 400 pages and it is widely read during the month of mfungo sita. The book titled Maulidi Barazanji was circulating earlier.
