After an introductory note regarding its content and a nominal index of the household heads of non-captive families working in the farm, this ledger comprises two interconnected parts. (1) Administrative data from Vergueiro & Co. regarding the transport of immigrants and their settlement in Ibicaba. (2) Workers' checking accounts, with occasional specification of professions. Under headings corresponding to a private individual or a legal entity, there is a list of credit/debt transactions. Period: from June 1911 to December 1915.
Yearly inventories and general balances of the Ibicaba farm. The ledger contains qualitative and monetary value of the farm’s capital, farmlands, constructions, crops, machinery and equipment, animal husbandry, agricultural production, cash flows, current accounts, employees etc. After introducing the aggregate data, the rubrics present the detailed accounts with numerical indications to other accounting ledgers. The inventories were elaborated for January 1940 and September 1943.
Insofar as the remaining data allow us to determine, this ledger probably registered Ibicaba farm’s current account in the late 1920s and early 1930s. However, the first 54 pages with data have been removed from the original. The remaining content is a mix of different themes: (1) Pages 198-199 register the current account of Mr. Antonio Manoel Pereira. (2) Page 200 contains a list of donations made by family Levy in 1929-1930, including for religious and civic celebrations in the farm itself, as well as in Cascalho and Cordeiro. (3) There are three handwritten notes on the closing sheet: (3.1) On the buying of equipment in 1927; (3.2) Genealogical information about family Levy, including year of arrival in Brazil and their region of origin in the German States; (3) Dividends of the Levy firm in 1933.
