The American Potash & Chemical Corporation specialized in sodium and potassium products. During WWII, the company entered the finished chemicals field by processing and marketing chemicals like potassium bromide. In 1946, American Potash opened a plant in Trona, CA which produced soda ash--used to make glass and soap.School on plan is the Trona Unified School. A Ralph D. Cornell planting plan for the school is dated February 1942. The architect listed on that plan is Henry Gogerty.
