- Thirteen years after the Watts Rebellion, also known as the Watts Riots, reporter Mike Botula presents a look at efforts to rebuild, focusing on the work of the Watts Labor Community Action Council. Botula gives a recap of the Watts Rebellion and rebuilding efforts taking place in the years since 1965 (audio only). He interviews an unidentified official of the Watts Labor Community Action Council who talks about how the area is improving with new housing, including single-family homes; new development, such as a senior center; and other amenities that will also bring jobs to the area. Clip includes street scenes, footage of the Watts Towers and shots of new buildings in the community. Some segments lack sound and others lack picture.
