- The "Mon Lei" was a three-masted, gaff-rigged Chinese junk with balanced lug sails. The hull was built of teak and other Chinese hardwoods. It was 50' long, 18' wide, and had a draft of 6.5 feet. It was built in Aberdeen, Hong Kong.
