The Lofty and Exalted Order of Uplifters was a men's social club founded by Harry Marston Haldeman in 1913. The group operated out of the Los Angeles Athletic Club until the purchase of "Uplifters Ranch" in 1920. The ranch land and associated clubhouse (currently the Rustic Canyon Recreation Center) are located in Rustic Canyon - a neighborhood of Pacific Palisades.
