Memory Park was given to the city for a park November 4, 1920. It is a part of the original land grant of Mission San Fernando de Rey de España, and is across the street from the mission church. The fountain is a replica of one at Cordova, Spain, erected about 1812-14 by the early Spanish mission padres.
