- Stan Chambers covers the dedication of the Suanga Indian Village Historic Site in Carson, the first monument dedicated to Native Americans in Los Angeles County. Carson City Councilman Gilbert Smith, who is also chairman of the Carson Indian Historical Committee discusses how the historic site came about as a means to preserve some of the history and culture of the Native American Community in Carson. He also details the history of the village, which was comprised of members from different tribes from throughout Southern California, with a large number of them being Chumash. Footage includes shots of the site marker, the dedication ceremony and students digging for artifacts.
