Bathers at Los Angeles public swimming pool in Griffith Park, Los Angeles, 1927-1931
- Description:
- View of African American swimmers at the Municipal Plunge swimming pool in Griffith Park, which opened on August 13, 1927. Los Angeles public swimming pools were open to African Americans only one day a week until August 16, 1931, after which a court decision opened public pools to all races on all days.
