Ian Keith began as a Broadway actor in the 1920's and transitioned to silent movies. His stage training ensured his transition to talkies and he became a favorite of DeMille. In the course of his long career, he appeared in at least six Columbia Pictures movies: The Truthful Sex (1926), The Street of Illusion (1928) Light Fingers (1929), Prince of Diamonds (1930), The Deceiver (1931) and Don't Gamble with Love (1936).
