A blurry group photograph, from left to right, of: Forrest Whitaker, Agnes Whitaker, Mertie West, Josie Shaw and H. H. West, posing on the grounds of Tahquitz Lodge in Idyllwild. All 5 stand in a row and look to camera, except Josie Shaw; she appears to gaze off towards the right. The lodge and a cabin stand in the distance at left. A tall tree stands behind Forrest Whitaker. A chair sits on the lawn behind H. H. West. Trees occupy the background.
Mertie West was H. H. West's second wife. Forrest Whitaker was her brother and Agnes was Forrest's wife. William Shaw was Mertie and Forrest's brother-in-law.
Photograph of the Wells cabin in the Minnelusa Canyon area of Big Bear Lake and the surrounding wooded landscape, heavily blanketed in snow, as seen from below a small hill. Agnes Whitaker, Mertie West, H. H. West, Jr., Frances (West) Wells and Forrest Whitaker stand in row just off the front porch of the cabin and admire the snow.
H. H. West's brother-in-law, Forrest Whitaker, poses with trout caught in Grant Lake. He holds a fishing pole and wears a hat. The fish are on the rocks in front of him. There are rocks throughout, and the lake is in the background, along with a mountain.
The Whitaker family poses in front of H. H. West's house on Hobart Boulevard. There are bushes on either side of the front walk. The front windows and door of the house are visible behind the group.

Photograph of Mertie West (left) standing on a sidewalk and waiting while Forrest Whitaker (right) fixes his Willis Knight automobile in Lone Pine en route to Pine Creek. Mertie stands in the near distance at the center of the image on the edge of a sidewalk. She looks to camera. A couple people mill about behind her. In front and to the right of her, Forrest Whitaker hunches over the hood of his car to repair it. He faces right. The car is parked to the right of the curb and faces the camera. The curb extends through the center of the photograph to the horizon. Store fronts line the sidewalk at far left.
View of Mertie West, with her sister-in-law, Agnes, and brother, Forrest Whitaker, beside a Ford automobile attached to a Main Line Silver Lark trailer on the curb outside of the Whitaker house on the day that they left on a trip to Mexico (with Mertie's husband, H. H. West, who probably took the photograph).
Group photograph, from left to right, of Agnes Whitaker, Josie Shaw, Forrest Whitaker and Mertie West posing in their "formal" dress before attending a dinner with the Guptills at a nearby camp near Rock Creek. All stand atop rock-covered ground and look to the camera. They have embellished their camp clothes to appear to be formal dress. Trees and low brush stretch into the distance behind them.
