Ornithologist Granville P. Howard Jones, USC football coach from 1925-1940, bowling. Jones led the University of Southern California Trojans to four Rose Bowls, winning all of them. Jones also coached at Syracuse, Yale, Ohio State, University of Iowa, and Duke. He also won the Rose Bowl with Yale.
