Howard Jones, USC football coach from 1925-1940, bowling. Jones led the University of Southern California Trojans to four Rose Bowls, winning all of them. Jones also coached at Syracuse, Yale, Ohio State, University of Iowa, and Duke. He also won the Rose Bowl with Yale. Jones was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1951.Photo was probably put in the wrong sleeve as it doesn't appear to relate to the WPA Garden Project
Howard Harding Jones was an American football player and coach who served as the head coach at Syracuse University (1908), Yale University (1909, 1913), Ohio State University (1910), the University of Iowa (1916–1923), Duke University (1924) and the University of Southern California (1925–1940), compiling a career record of 194–64–21.
