View towards the Beverly Hills Hotel, steps and terraced lawn with palm trees from Sunset Boulevard. The hotel, opened in 1912 by Margaret J. Anderson and her son, Stanley S. Anderson, was designed by Pasadena architect Elmer Grey in the Mediterranean Revival style, and the gardens were designed by the landscape architect Wilbur David Cook.
