Description:: Police Captain Edward Ayres points at the site of an old volcano in Elysian Park. Picture may be associated with the landslide that took place in the park in November of 1937. The landslide began as a small crack in the earth, then widened to a meandering zig-zag, and eventually dumped tons of rock and dirt onto Riverside Drive.
