The float features a carriage lead by dragons with Lili Arikawa seated on a throne as the empress with 2 girls seated below her, hanging baskets and lanterns, and with 'Long Beach' written on top. Description:: View of the grandstand entrance with its equestrian-themed frieze of galloping horses at Santa Anita Park. The frieze was created by Chester "Chet" R. Phillips, an architect and designer for Gordon B. Kaufmann (architect of the race track). The two flights of steps 2 the entrance are flanked by planting beds. A sign at the top of the steps reads "Cashiers" and 4 attendants stand on either side.
