A motor cycle squad leads the Loyalty Day Parade followed by mounted traffic officers with a few spectators watching on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles. Signs on commercial buildings read "Printing" and "Law Printing."
The float is a reproduction of the San Gabriel Mission with members of the cast of the Mission Play dressed in costumes. Three outwalkers dressed as monks are visible. The float was entered by the Mission Play.
Birdseye view of the Rose Parade with the Arcadia's "May Day" float in front. The float featured the kindergarten orchestra (Evangeline Beach, Buddy Fremhere, Jean Ross, Betty Corwin, Eleanor Lee Jack Vertolina and Millie May Pranchan, conducted by George Peckham and with Doris Joslin as organist) and teacher Dorothy Marks (as queen) and dancers (Frances Summers, June Canady, Winota Berry and Durston Williams). This is followed by the Anaheim float. The buiding on the right is located at 42 W. Colorado Blvd.
