The Watts Towers are the artistic creation of Italian American immigrant Simon Rodia, who single-handedly built his creation over a period of 34 years on a triangular lot at 1761-1765 East 107th Street in Los Angeles.
Entryway next to the Mission Plaza Church (aka La Iglesia de Nuestra Señora la Reina de Los Ángeles, and The Church of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels). The sign above the entrance reads: "Old Mission Plaza Church, Masses, Sundays 5 6 7 8 9 10 11:15 12, Week Days 5 6 7 8, Perpetual Adoration Society." Two men are seated at a wooden wagon in front of the entrance. A sign painted on the wagon reads: "Danger, Fast Traffic, Federico."
