Description:: Mary Pickford, Grand Marshal of the Rose Parade, in a white satin gown, seated in a coach covered in stevia, roses, sweet peas and gladioli, with a coachman and a footman, drawn by four white horses. The harness of the horses was covered in pink satin ribbon. The photograph was taken in front of the Pasadena Memorial Flagpole (Goodhue Flagpole) at the intersection of Colorado Blvd. and Orange Grove Blvd. Mary Pickford was the first woman and the first film industry professional to be a Grand Marshal of the parade.
