- Los Angeles Civic Grand Opera production of “La Traviata,” Act 2, Scene 1. Opera singer Nelda Scarsella portrays Violetta (wearing a gown with ruffled trim and floral pick-ups). She sings seated with Enrico Porta (in the role of Giorgio Germont) on a garden bench. The setting is an exterior space at Violetta’s country home outside of Paris. A large tree, shrubs, and garden furniture complete the outdoor scenery. Beyond the stage at foreground, a musician playing a double-bass can be viewed in the orchestra pit.
