Description:: The home was owned by Marshall G. Stone, a Valle Vista pioneer considered to be the "Father of Valle Vista," having been superintendent over the development of 3,000 acres of a San Jacinto land grant. Stone was also one of the organizers of the Fairview Land & Water Company. The house was first a hotel, and was later occupied by Stone.
