H. H. West, Jr., Forrest Whitaker and Ann West stand on a dock, Big Bear Lake, 1946
- Description:
- An out-of-focus and blurry photograph, from left to right, of Hebard West, Forrest Whitaker and Ann West standing on a dock at Big Bear Lake. In the foreground, the dock enters frame at left and extends towards the right. Along the right side of the dock, boats are moored. "Lake Shore" is written across the bow of one boat. In the near distance at center, Hebard West stands. His back is to camera as he faces towards Forrest and Ann, who stand further back on the dock at right. Forrest Whitaker faces slightly left, towards Hebard. Ann West stands directly behind Forrest and gives him a bear hug. To the left of Forrest, a pile of crates sits next to a shack that stands on the dock. The shack stands in partial view; it enters frame at left and stretches towards center. It is viewed from the front. To the left of Hebard, the dock's proprietor pours gasoline in front of the open front door of the shack. Over the door, it reads, "LAKESHORE." Big Bear Lake stretches into the distance at right. Mountains are visible rising from the far shore.
