Smiling, and seated from left to right are: Diana Gibson, Billy Burrud, and Marion Bell. In the photograph, the three actors are presumably signing film contracts with Universal Pictures. The article, "Youngster Gets Role, Contract" only references Burrud in recent contract dealings with Universal. This image was not included with the article.
Pictured: Smith presides over the swearing in ceremony of Eardley and Hughes. With one hand raised in oath, Smith holds a Bible in the other hand, while the two other men also raise their hands in oath. They appear to be in an office. On the wall is a picture of Franklin Roosevelt and a map of the Southern Pacific Railroad Line.
