Arch gateway to Big Pines Los Angeles County Camp, Big Pines Camp, circa 1923-1939
- Description:
- Snow covers the Angeles Crest Highway which spans the width of the bottom edge and stretches into the distance. At center, an arched gateway rises and passes over the road. Two crenelated, stone towers stand on either side of the road. An archway stretches between the towers and across the road. Carved text along the front side of the arch reads, "BIG PINES-L.A. COUNTY CAMP." A keystone sits at the center of the arch.
